The last day, we made our way to Komiza, which I've been assured is an excellent island, the new St. Tropez. Well, it's cute and there is lots of beach clubs, and a lot to see, like the Venetian Loggia, a mighty fortress on the hill. But it is also packed and overrun with daytripping cruisers and drunk partiers who love sing along to your tub-thumping melody. We were not there in Komiza enough to go into the island from the middle, and it's unfair to judge a destination on its busy port. It is a very walkable city of cobblestone roads, woody paths a walk along the shore. My Croatian friend Anton told me to look out for Falko, an amazing and mellow beach restaurant and bar, which was a great spot to spend the day. www
There is a yacht the ideal way to see this part of Croatia, a land of astonishing isles. A yacht with friends will often be better when compared to a yacht in charter with strangers.
Existing sailors will need no convincing a yacht is the ideal way to experience a shoreline. But Theyturned this beach girl into a boat girl -- albeit one who dived into the sea whenever the chance arose.
